This website is a 'weekends and evenings' project with the aim of making the experience, strength and hope recorded on speaker tapes more accessible.

The first step towards that aim is providing transcripts of speaker tapes, so that the content of those tapes can be read and searched.

This is a very early version of the site and there are many issues which I hope to fix.

Transcripts are automated and, as a result, there are inaccuracies. Unfortunately this issue is more common for accented speakers, which I want to acknowledge as a specific problem.

For the reason above, please keep in mind that the transcripts do not represent exactly what a speaker said.

Speaker tapes are sourced from XA-Speakers.

I am grateful to XA-Speakers for their service to recovery communities and for making a wealth of speaker tape recordings freely available.

I am also grateful to the many people who have shared their experience, strength and hope, and to those who have worked to make recordings available.
